Learning Conversational Hypnosis
Conversational or Covert Hypnosis is the technique or ability done through conversation, to control another person’s subconscious without them noticing. The hypnotist’s objective is to change the behavior of the other person by using carefully selected words, body language and facial expressions, and intentional gestures to covertly communicate with that person’s subconscious mind. In the end, the target will have made their own decision to change their mind because of covert hypnosis. This is usually done without the target being aware or conscious about it. In cases wherein hypnosis is used to achieve a behavior that is initially agreed upon, such as when losing weight or helping someone to stop smoking, this is known as conversational hypnosis. When a stated behavior is not agreed upon beforehand, this is usually covert hypnosis.
Here we can earn more about conversational hypnosis. When practicing this, one must keep in mind the basic and crucial steps of hypnosis which are:
1. Get their attention and build rapport – this is done by using words, body language, facial expressions and gestures.
2. Bypass the critical mind of your target – give your target a mindset of a relaxing and calming state to help get rid of their anxieties and stress.
3. Execute your well planned move – always make sure that you have thought out a suggestion to plant in your target’s subconscious.
Always be observant of your target’s behavior as well. Constantly observe even the subtlest changes in their movements to know if he or she is really captivated and responding. Like all skills, covert or conversational hypnosis requires a lot of practice before mastering it.
